Chinese Opera by Perfect Harmony
Perfect Harmony Cultural Exchange Association (Perfect Harmony) was established in January of 2011 as a non-profit organization. All members of our organization are volunteers. We aim to explore and encourage artistic exposures from different cultures. We hope to inspire and educate the younger generations to appreciate the cultural wealth that surrounds us.
And we are greatly honored to have seasoned opera director/choreographer, Master Yeung Kim Wah, as our artistic consultant.
Perfect Harmony proudly presented the young artists from Sing Fai Cantonese Opera Promotion Association Limited of Hong Kong as our premiere event in 2011. Despite their ages only range from 7 to 14, you will recognize the hard work and sacrifices they have made in this art form called Cantonese Opera, which has been recognized by UNESCO to be a part of its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We have then held free cultural events “A Taste of Chinese Opera” in different cities. We are proud to have students from ages 7 to 12 to perform at our cultural events. We hope to attract our younger generation to participate more in this traditional cultural art.
