Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by surrounding yourself with art, culture, and community. Enjoy an array of vibrant programs and activities for all ages. Bring the kids for art-making activities, a march, and delicious food truck fare; visit our exhibitions, hear a marathon reading of King’s lesser-known speeches and sermons, groove to DJ-provided tunes, and much more—free for everyone!

10am – 4pm: Family drop-in art activities

10am-11am:  King Study: Listen to a recording of King’s 1968 Los Angeles speech introduced by James Baldwin, then stay for a group discussion

11am – 12 noon – Passing the Torch: Intergenerational Activism in the 21st Century

1pm – 2pm – The Time is Always Right to do Right: Keynote by Reverend Eddie Anderson

2pm – 3pm – Young Activists Present MLK Speeches

3pm – 4pm – Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King

4pm – 5pm – Children’s March around the Rose Garden
