Family Days

Bring the whole family (young and old) to L.A. Kitchen for a morning of prepping (sans knifes) reclaimed fruits and vegetables that will be transformed to feed thousands of Angelenos. There will be kid friendly prep stations, arts and crafts, music, healthy snacks, and more. Due to the nature of the activity, we are only able to host families and their children 7 years old and up.

Following the success of LA’s first Disco Chop in collaboration with Feedback Global, L.A. Kitchen is hosting a Summer Music Series inviting volunteers to a food prep / chopping party where we (safely) combine knives and music. Read more for further info on Kitchen Prep.

Every month the Food For Thought Series explores issues surrounding our local and global food systems. We invite industry leaders and advocates to discuss the important topics our food, health and local communities face today. Guests so far have included L.A. Food Policy Council, L.A. Compost and Local Roots. The hour long talks are free
and open to the community.
