Historical Venice Cinco de Mayo Parade/Festival 2019
5/4/2019
Event Navigation
Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in Venice with a family-friendly, free community parade and festival.
The parade blends traditional Mexican cultural performances with Mexican American innovations including classic cars, traditional folklorico dancers, Aztec dancers, charro, floats, and a mariachi band.
The parade ends and transitions into a festival at Oakwood Park featuring food vendors, piñatas, face painting, informational booths, live performances, and entertainment. No canopies are permitted.
The parade route begins at Lincoln and California; spectators generally line up along Lincoln from California to Rose, where the parade turns west (passing conveniently in front of La Cabaña restaurant) before heading back down 7th to the park again for the day-long festival.
