The Lotus flower is symbolized of rebirth, purity and in Asian cultures. Echo Park Lake becomes the site of a festival timed to coincide with the awe-inspiring bloom of countless lotus flowers along the northwest shore.

The event is held in July when the Lotus plant blooms.The Festival includes food, live music, ethnic dances, and a variety of performers representing the people and culture of Asian and the Pacific Islands.
