May the 4th is approaching faster than an Ewok on a runaway speeder bike — are you ready? Just in case you’re in need of some inspiration, StarWars.com has compiled a list of 10 fun ways you can celebrate your love of a galaxy far, far away.
Why is Star Wars Day Celebrated on May 4th?
May 4 is considered a holiday by some Star Wars fans to celebrate the franchise’s film series, books, and culture. The date was chosen for the easy pun on the catchphrase “May the Force be with you”— “May the Fourth be with you”. Since the first film came out, many Star Wars fans across the world choose to celebrate the holiday. Last year in 2015, on Star Wars Day, even astronauts in the International Space Station watched Star Wars!
