《魔戒》（英語：The Lord of the Rings）是一部由英国牛津大學教授、語言學家J·R·R·托爾金创作的史詩奇幻文學作品。這個故事原是托爾金早年創作的兒童幻想小說《哈比人歷險記》（英语：The Hobbit）（1937年）之續篇，但隨著故事的發展逐漸變得恢弘龐大。此作品絕大部分完成於1937至1949年，約與二戰期間相符，因此有人相信此作在某些方面亦受到該場戰爭的影響^[1]。《魔戒》一書为畅销书籍，不同版本已售出超过一億五千萬册^[2]。

Our August trilogy presentation is sold out! So on Saturday, September 15th, The Frida Cinema is giving you a second opportunity to prove just how die-hard a fan of The Lord of the Rings trilogy you really are…

Starting at 11:30am, for a single ticket price of $15, we will be presenting the Extended Editions of all three The Lord of the Rings films, on 4K digital prints, back-to-back at The Frida Cinema in celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the epic, Oscar-winning third installment The Return of the King!  Films will screen as follows:

11:30am – The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
3:45pm – The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
8:30pm – The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

There will be a 35-minute intermission between Parts 1 & 2 for lunch, and a 50-minute intermission between Parts 2 & 3 for dinner!  Tickets will not be sold for individual films, so that we can ensure that we do not overfill; $15 gets you all three films, or any portion therein!  (But why stop at one or two?!  This is a very rare opportunity – throw on your comfiest clothes, bring a pillow and blanket, and take a 13-hour journey through Middle-earth!
