Behind the Scenes of Rose Parade 新年玫瑰花車飾花及預覽
地點: Float Warehouse, 835 South Raymond Ave., Pasadena
時間: 12/27 – 12/31 -- 12:00pm - 5:00pm
通常大家都對新年花車賞心悅目，其實我們有想過在這些花車背後，工作人員是怎樣把這些裝飾品組裝上去的呢? 大家一起來看看吧!
Take tots to get an up close and personal look at the floats which will be featured in the Rose Parade, as they get their finishing touches and decorations in their final stages of preparation. Watch in wonder and awe as flowers, fruit, seeds, bark and grasses are expertly applied to the floats. This year’s theme is “Dreams Come True.”
Monterey Park International New Year's Eve Countdown 星光閃耀跨年夜
地點: Garvey Avenue between Atlantic Blvd. and Ynez Ave.

新年的到來, 怎麼可以沒有美食跟表演呢? 在蒙特利公園會舉行星光閃耀跨年夜, 將會有各種美食攤位以及可以跟超級偶像一起跨年喔!
Monterey Park’s first annual International New Year’s Eve Countdown will take place on Garvey Avenue between Atlantic Blvd. and Ynez Avenue. The multicultural street fair-style event will begin at 6:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and will feature live entertainment, a variety of foods, and over 50 vendor booths. Scheduled to perform are Taiwanese singer Yao Yao. a Michael Jackson impersonator as well as ‘Top Idol’ singers and dancers. Other highlights include carnival rides, an auto show, flower market and much more. And of course, the evening will conclude with a countdown to the New Year 2015. Admission is free.
Post-Parade Showcase of Floats 參觀新年玫瑰遊行花車

新年特備節目當然要包括遊行花車囉!今年也可以跟往年一樣跟家人朋友參觀一下喔!
A Showcase of Floats is a unique opportunity for the viewing public to step up close and see for themselves the majestic beauty and splendor of the floral floats. You can also download, on iTunes, a Tournament of Roses-produced audio tour of the floats to listen to as you view them. Please allow two hours for this breath-taking display and don't forget your camera!
Noon Year's Eve 少年版跨年慶祝活動

這個活動真的很貼心，除夕跨年還有少年版呢!當天會有拍照攤位,繽紛氣球慶典還可以收到紀念品呢! 這麼新鮮的活動, 當然要參加囉!
Ring in 2014 like a Hollywood superhero! Dress as your favorite superhero and celebrate the New Year with us at noon with Hollywood themed activities for the whole family.
Rose Parade Bandfest 新年玫瑰大遊行軍樂隊預演
地點: Pasadena City College, Del Mar & Bonnie Ave., Pasadena

今年大家有眼福了! 雖然每年都有軍樂隊預演遊行, 但是不是每一個人都可以看到。可能是時間不適合, 或是人太多, 總是擠不進去。今年將會有3場表演, 盡量讓每個人都可以欣賞這個表演。
Bandfest features the prizewinning bands of the 2014 Rose Parade as they perform their famous field shows. They will perform three shows over two days to give everyone a chance to see these talented musicians, dancers and auxiliary performers in action.
Japanese New Year Mochi Pounding Ceremony 日本商店新年槌年糕+舞獅慶典

Mochitsuki (Mochi Pounding) ceremony is a one of the traditional activities of the New Year celebration in Japan. The cooked rice is pounded by two people with a wooden hammer (KINE) in a traditional large wooden bowl (USU). One person pounds the mochi with a KINE and the other one wets and re-positions the mochi between each stroke. They must keep a steady rhythm. Enjoy powerful performance and fresh and fluffy taste of mochi after that!!

A Kidspace tradition! Count down to the “noon” year at 12:00 p.m. as we celebrate with streamers, sparkling cider, live music and a balloon drop. A fun way to ring in the “noon” year with young children.
Ring in the “Noon” year at Kidspace with a special performance by Clint Perry & The Boo Hoo Crew at 11:30AM, streamers, sparkling cider, and a balloon drop as we celebrate the end of 2013 and beginning of 2014. Arrive early to avoid admission lines and catch the show, make party hats and noise makers, dance to music, and countdown to the “noon” year at 12:00 pm. (The baloon drop is at 12-sharp).
Long Beach New Year's Eve Celebration 長灘市跨年慶典
地點: Rainbow Harbor at Long Beach Waterfront, Shoreline Drive (at Aquarium Way), Long Beach

長灘市的這個跨年慶典絕對讓您樂而忘返喔! 不僅有表演看, 臉部彩繪, 扭氣球, 和魔術表演喔!
The City of Long Beach hosts a free family-friendly waterfront celebration, beginning at 5:00 pm at the amphitheater at Rainbow Harbor. Roving performers, face painters, balloon artists and magicians will delight all ages, as live local bands entertain and a trackless train transports visitors along the esplanade. It's all capped off by an early just-for-kids (preview) fireworks display.
Japanese Mochi Pounding Festival 日本迎新年糯米糍錘錘樂

迎新年當然要有禮物送囉! 雖然不是特別名貴的東西, 但是卻是可以讓小朋友開心的小禮物。當天所有的糯米糍都都是免費的喔!
This annual rice cake-pounding festival will be held at the parking lot of Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori Parking Lot. All rice cakes will be free and no admission fee is needed. Everyone is welcome.
