新春專題：喜氣“羊羊”迎春花 一家大小逛南加
春暖花開，適逢新春前夕正是情人佳節，除了情人節給情人送玫瑰花，其實，新年也有更多充滿祝福意義的年花，接下來讓我們來介紹一下新年最常見的五種花，這個春節，挑選一種送給你關心和關心你的他/她們吧~
牡丹，國色天香，一直被國人視為富貴、吉祥、幸福、繁榮的象徵。從唐代起，牡丹就被推崇為“國色天香”。牡丹統領群芳，地位尊貴。
牡丹花語：圓滿、濃情、富貴、雍容華貴
蘭花有一種讓人沉醉的清香，那朵朵盛開的花姿，有的簡約，有的張揚，有的玲瓏潔雅，燦爛而美麗；蘭花有著淡雅的色彩，給人帶來一種幽靜，清淡的花香，冷艷而芬芳。它雖不艷麗也不張揚，卻像謙謙君子，似乎象徵著一切美好的事物。
蘭花的花語：美好、高潔、賢德。
桃花主要分果桃和花桃兩大類。有白、粉紅、深紅、緋紅及紅白混色等花色變化以及復瓣和重瓣。桃花是我國傳統的園林花木，其樹態優美，枝幹扶疏，花朵豐腴，色彩艷麗，為早春重要觀花樹種之一。粉色的花朵和果實圓圓的曲線，一再令人想起女性優美的風姿。
桃花的花語：優美。
水仙花是中國十大名花之一，每到過年，人們喜歡清供水仙花，點綴作為年華，水仙別名金盞銀台，花如其名，綠裙、青帶，亭亭玉立於清波之上。素潔的花朵超塵脫俗，高雅清香，格外動人，宛若凌波仙子踏水而來。
水仙花的含義：敬意、思念、團圓。
梅花主要分為花梅和果梅兩類，花色有白﹑紅、粉紅等多種顏色。象徵著堅韌不拔，不屈不撓，奮勇當先，自強不息的精神品質。
梅花的含義是：堅強、高雅和忠貞。

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at The Huntington as the Year of the Ram begins. This two-day family event that will include lion dancers (at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.), martial arts demonstrations, mask changing performances, traditional music, authentic Chinese cuisine, and more. Many of the activities will take place in and around the Huntington’s gardens. General admission.

由阿罕布拉市與聖蓋博市聯合主辦的四海迎春中國農曆新年系列慶典，將持續一個月時間，包括書畫展、蘭花藝術展、新年街市園遊會等，讓農曆新春之際，社區民衆可以聚集在山谷大道歡度節慶, 體會中華文化和傳統民俗。以「花影飄香」為主題的文化藝術展穿插蘭花藝展，在阿罕布拉市政府展出至1月28日結束. 新春遊園會將在大年初三, 2月5日上午10點至5點30分, 地點和往年一樣, 在Garfield和Almansor之間的Valley大道上舉行。
OC Tet Festival & Parade

The Tết Festival of Southern California is recognized as the world’s largest Tết Festival outside of Vietnam. Helping preserve Vietnamese culture, the Tết Festival boasts about the attraction of over 100,000+ audiences and hundreds of booths in a span of a three day weekend event. Visitors are immersed with a vibrant array of traditional foods, live entertainment, festive games, and customs celebrating the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.
2015 Chinese New Year Celebration

Celebrate the Chinese New Year on Sunday, February 22 at 1:00 pm in the library’s Friends Room. The Library will host Chinese folk music and dance performances by local artists, and there will be plenty of fun Chinese games, door prizes and light refreshments for our audience. The program is sponsored by The Friends of the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library. After the performances, a Chinese film will be screened.
116th Golden Dragon Parade & Festival
金龍遊行賀新春

Since the mid-1980’s, the Golden Dragon Parade has expanded to include almost two dozen floats, multiple marching bands, government officials, various dignitaries, entertainers, local business leaders and cultural groups. The parade’s theme emphasizes ethnic diversity, Chinese Culture and exposure to Chinese-American businesses. The parade continues to be a rich and diverse experience for Angelenos of all ages and ethnicities.
