We are counting our blessing at the end of year as we attend Christmas parties, getting together with friends and families, exchanging presents. While we are thankful for what we have, let’s not forget to share our love and extend a helping hand to needed in remote China. If you are considering a worthy organization for your yearend charitable contribution, let’s take a look at “HIS Foundation” and their work in providing medical and educational support in rural regions of China.
Holistic Integrated Services “HIS” Foundation
HIS (Holistic Integrated Services) Foundation is a Christian non-profit service organization that has over 20 years history of serving China. Its main work is to provide free quality medical services for indigent patients in rural China. Every year many short-term medical mission teams formed by Christian professionals were sent to provide the much needed out-patient and inpatient services. The main medical specialties include orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery, internal medicine, rehabilitation, and ophthalmology. Most volunteers are from the United States, Hong Kong, and Australia. HIS Foundation also donates medical equipments and wheelchairs. Over 12,000 wheelchairs were donated since 2006.
Education Outreach
Another main work of HIS Foundation is education in rural China. Eleven elementary schools were built. Hundreds of high school students have taken advantage of the scholarship program to complete their education. Every year special programs including English teacher training courses, youth camp, and children summer program are offered and benefited many teachers and students.

Ways to support HIS Foundation:
Since every year HIS Foundation will send medical teams to conduct free surgery for the patients, they do need funding to support the medical team and sponsorship for the equipment and wheelchairs. Even though we are not medical professional, we can show our love and support by making a donation to them.
