Princess Diana will forever be remembered for her beauty, classic style, compassion, and charitable works. And even today, she continues to be an icon of inspiration to millions worldwide.
Diana: Legacy of a Princess will capture Diana’s true essence as it showcases a priceless collection of her gowns and other cherished memorabilia. It will also provide an in depth look at other major members of the British Royal Family—those who actually visited or sailed on The Queen Mary. These include King George V and Queen Mary; the Duke and Duchess of Windsor; The Queen Mother; and Queen Elizabeth II. (Exhibition starts June 16th, 2012)
This multi-million dollar collection has taken over 30 years to assemble and includes approximately 2,000 items relating to the Windsor Family including:
> An elegant dressing room display featuring nine of Princess Diana’s dresses and gowns
> Designer-signed fashion sketches of Diana’s famous gowns
> Designer dresses chosen by the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton)
> Handwritten letters from all the major Royals
> More than 2,000 artifacts, including a garden bench that was a wedding gift for Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
A portion of the proceeds generated by Diana: Legacy of a Princess will benefit a non-profit organization serving Southern California and offering needed services in the areas of breast cancer awareness and prevention.

The Queen Mary itself has taken on a renovation in order to accommodate the exhibit. A gracious Tea Room, gift boutique and other visitor conveniences will complement a new gallery space now beginning construction on the Queen Mary's Sun Deck level.

Celebrating its 36th year, The Irish Fair & Music Festival has become the largest festival of its kind in Western America. With 16 entertainment areas featuring the best in Irish music and numerous events and display, the fair visitor will be hard pressed to take it all in. IRISH STEP DANCE Irish Traditional Dancing has become super popular since Michael Flatley took the world by storm with Riverdance. The Irish Fair is proud to present not only Riverdance type shows, but also weekend of top notch Irish Championship Competition on six stages. It was on these vary same stages here at the Irish Fair that Michael Flatley competed as a young man and where the next world Champion will emerge.
CELTIC HARP Harp Competition on Saturday; Harp Shows and Displays on both days
IRISH DOG SHOW “The king of dogs and the dog of kings.” On display will be Irish Terriers, Irish Setters, Irish Kerry Blues, Irish Water Spaniels, and of course the Irish Wolfhounds in the largest exhibition of all-breeds Irish Dog Show in western America. Specially featured is the Irish Wolfhound, “The king of dogs and the dog of kings.” We will begin Saturday with 10:00 a.m. lure practice runs -- each Hound is welcome to try and we'll find ways to encourage each one. This is a special request to see our Hounds run as only they can......
GRAND PARADE OF THE IRISH. This is one of many photo opportunities at the fair. The parade marches into the Shamrock Bowl Stage where the parade participants salute the newly Crowned Southern California Rose of Tralee and the Lord Mayor of the Irish Fair.
SPORTS at the FAIR - The athletic field will host an array of sporting activities that will include Irish Hurling, a fast and often dangerous game that dates back to the ancient Celts. Played with a hard rawhide ball and long sticks, the players move across a soccer- sized field attempting to score points by hurling the ball into the opposing team’s net. Nothing is more exciting than watching the players leap high in the air for the ball and clash their hurlies.
