This summer Disneyland has launched two fabulous new rides – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure , bringing to life the characters from the classic animated movie "the Little Mermaid"; and the amazing new Star Tours, which updates one of Tomorrowland's most popular rides by making it 3D - along with new storylines.

We spent a little time first at the Golden Zephyr & Mickey's Fun Wheel ~ the giant ferris wheel contains a sliding station for each cart, adding a whole new thrill to a normal ride. We had to skip it for the wait is way too long! Almost half of the park was blocked off to make space for the Cars 2 debut Grand Prix Race. Looks like it's gonna be a huge one!

The wait time was 45 minutes when we arrived, but when we exited the line grew to a 60-minute wait; Our little one was excited about being "greeted" by Ariel on the wall mural...
雖然告示牌標出等候時間為45分鐘, 可是我們仍然等了將近1個小時! 小孩子們為將能跟Ariel打招呼都感到無比的興奮, 沿著迂迴的路徑前進, 我們終於來到入口與Ariel見面囉!
After meandering around the building for half an hour, we finally arrived at the main entrance and was greeted by Ariel...on the wall. An 86-foot long, hand-painted mural greets guests in teh loading area of the attraction. The mural depicts many of the characters guests will see within the attraction including Prince Eric, King Triton, Sebastian, Flounder and, of course, Ariel.

Ursula is the largest Audio-Animatronics figure in teh show at 7.5-feet tall and 12-feet wide. She also has a squash-and-stretch function in her torso and flexible materials so she can bounce along with the music.

All in all, the ride was a vivid depiction of the classic movie and was highly enjoyable, what we miss is the interactive element that can place the audience in the scene. The part of the clamshell, I mean teh cart, slowly "sinks" into the water, creating an under-water experience for the audience was particularly fascinating. Our 5-years-old enjoyed the ride tremendously, and she asked for a repeat ride as soon as we walked out the hall!
