The annual Balboa Island Parade files down Marine Ave. on Sunday with star-spangled floats, festooned tricycles, marching bands, antique cars carrying local dignitaries, fire trucks, Keystone Cops, and gussied-up dogs in the island’s biggest event of the summer.

The length of the parade is approximately two and one-half blocks.

The fun continues with the ‘After Parade Event’ featuring music and activities in the 100 block of Marine Avenue following the Parade.

Note that the bridge to the island is closed from 10:45 – 12:30pm.
