Port of Hueneme goes bananas for the 8th Annual Port of Hueneme Banana Festival.

Festival guests can enjoy a variety of delicious foods, including banana empanadas, banana splits, banana funnel cakes, banana lumpia, banana cream pie melts, banana Italian ice, banana popcorn, banana cupcakes and chocolate covered bananas.

Each food vendor offers at least one unique banana dish. The festival also features live bands,  banana pie eating contests, arts and crafts vendors, and kids’ crafts and activities.

Free land and water tours of the port are available for festival attendees wishing to view any operations taking place that day. Sign up for tours onsite. Tours are first come first served.

Many of the activities in the Kids Zone are free, including banana-themed art projects, performances by characters, readings and activities with the Port Hueneme Library, and a climb-aboard pirate ship. Kids can meet a variety of reptiles from the Reptile Family. The toddler bounce house is free, but there are a wide variety of ticketed mazes, slides, bungee bounce opportunities.

The Festival is located on the Port of Hueneme, with the entrance at the corner of Surfside Drive & Market Street. Free admission and parking at beach lot locations.
