m.a.r.y. helps guide ALL children with social and emotional skill building through the use of creative arts.
Krickett’s background in child development and her work with young children has emphasized to her the need youngsters have for developing their self-expression, autonomy, resilience, and self-confidence. Through her work with Drum to LEARN, Inc., she has seen how creative self-expression can build resilience and confidence to overcome shyness, fears, and low self-esteem. In honor of her mother, who never had the opportunity to develop these skills, she founded the m.a.r.y. foundation.
Making the Arts Real for Youth Foundation holds its 7th annual m.a.r.y.’s day event – a day filled with fun activities and fundraising for m.a.r.y. foundation.
Guests can enjoy collaborative, artful fun with puppet making, art-car racing, watercolor workshop, and a clay workshop.
The first 100 children in line receive a goodie bag, and families can enjoy free yogurt from Menchie’s.
