Celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Bowers Museum as we honor our departed ones with music, dance and art.

12 – 3:45 PM Joel Aceves, classical guitarist and Bowers favorite, plays traditional Mexican songs
Margaret and Cleo Key Courtyard
11 AM – 4 PM Face Painting, Art Projects for the Entire Family: decorate sugar skulls, make calavera artifacts and enjoy hot Mexican hot chocolate and pan de muerto (bread of the dead)
12 PM O.C. Mariachi Kids, plays the traditional rancheras of Mexico
12:45 PM Raices de Mexico Ballet Folklorico, performs La Zandunga, danced to a song composed as a lament of the death of the composer’s mother
1:00 PM Intermission
1:30 PM El Santo Golpe, plays son jarocho and cumbias for your listening and dancing
pleasure
2:30 PM Xipe Totec Danza Azteca, performs the dances of the Aztec underworld
