8/25/2019
Event Navigation
For one week each April, we join with the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks, to celebrate America’s treasures. National Park Week is a time to explore amazing places, discover stories of history and culture, help out, and find your park!
On select days throughout the year, all national parks are open to the public with no admission fee. On Sunday, we celebrate the 103rd birthday of the National Park Service.
2019 dates:
January 21: Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
April 20: First day of National Park Week
August 25: National Park Service Birthday
September 28: National Public Lands Day
November 11: Veterans Day
(No worries if you miss these days: 264 of our 397 national parks never charge an entrance fee!)
