Stuart Gibbs, one of our favorite local authors, is the author of the FunJungle series, as well as the New York Times bestselling Spy School and Moon Base Alpha series. He has written the screenplays for movies like See Spot Run and Repli-Kate, worked on a whole bunch of animated films, and developed TV shows for Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, ABC, and Fox.
Leslie Margolis is another of our favorite local authors, and has penned numerous wonderful series’ of books, including (but not limited to): Annabelle Unleashed and the Maggie Brooklyn Mystery. She’s also written If I Were You and We Are Party People, along with a slew of other works.
Maryrose Wood is the author of the first five books in the series about the Incorrigible children and their governess. These books may be considered works of fiction, which is to say, the true bits and the untrue bits are so thoroughly mixed together that no one should be able to tell the difference.
Sarah Mlynowski has written five novels for adults: Milkrun, Fishbowl, As Seen on TV, Monkey Business, and Me vs. Me; the New York Times bestselling middle grade series Whatever After; the middle grade series Upside-Down Magic (with Lauren Myracle and Emily Jenkins); and the teen novels Bras & Broomsticks, Frogs & French Kisses, Spells & Sleeping Bags, and Parties & Potions.
