Calling all ghouls and goblins, it’s a new kind of back to school! This year’s Spooky Science will be hosting the Monster Academy where students will learn hair-raising science lessons from some of the world’s most famous monsters.

• • Visit the BeWitchery, where Ashes, the resident student witch, uses chemistry to teach potion making
  • Participate in a workshop at Bolton’s Shock Lab, a DIY space, where you can learn how to code, create sculptures that can harness the power of electricity, or experiment with light and shadows to create a beautiful work of art
  • Help Vlad, a student vampire, discover his reflection in the infinity mirror
  • Support Webster, the spider and become a web designer while playing with shapes and patterns
  • And learn about the human body through putting Skellee, a skeleton, back together

The Monster Academy will also feature a “day-scare” learning center designed exclusively for teaching junior monsters what it takes for school success. Activities will be focusing on creative play, shapes, and colors as part of our Early Learning Core Initiative and electricity, chemistry, and optical illusions as part of our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Proficiency Core Initiative.

Spooky Science will be open every day during the month of October.
