St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Community in Temple City will host its 29th Annual Parish Fiesta on April 22, 23 and 24, 2016. The fiesta is the parish’s main fund raiser with proceeds directed toward parish and elementary school maintenance needs. The event features a Grand Prize Raffle, Food Court, Boutique & Craft Fair, a Plant Booth, great carnival games, spectacular rides, live entertainment, a Beer Garden, and an Exhibitor/Vendor Area.
The parish began the San Gabriel Valley community tradition that was quickly made famous not only for its offerings, but the crowds it drew, soon after its founding in 1946. The event was put on hiatus for a few years but returned soon after on a grander scale and has remained one of the area’s largest volunteer-led endeavors of its kind. Today, the three-day event hosts over 10,000 Greater San Gabriel Valley residents. Admission is free.
