” L.A. Nature Fest ” Discover L.A.’s Wild Side with Natural History Museum

Los Angeles Natural History Museum

L.A. Nature Fest March 17 and 18, 2018 9:30 am – 5 pm

We share the city of Los Angeles with many interesting animal neighbors, from the Griffith Park mountain lion to the birds in the Nature Gardens. Come and explore the wild side of Los Angeles at NHMLA. Meet an opossum, do lunch with a rattlesnake, and go for a walk with a desert tortoise. Museum scientists will be on hand to answer your questions about snails, bugs, birds, and all things city nature.

There’s a surprising amount of nature in Los Angeles, and the more you know how to look for it, the more you’ll see. You’ll be blown away by L.A.’s wild side: the plants, the animals, and the people devoted to protecting and studying them.

L.A. Nature Fest unfolds in our very own Nature Gardens, the outdoor space where Museum scientists do real research and educators share nature’s coolest stories.

You won’t believe what’s out there! Each day will be filled with performances, hands-on activities, and presentations.
