很多人都知道亞凱迪亞市的地標是植物園，其實它是隸屬於洛杉磯縣政府所管理的；而講到亞凱迪亞市最具代表的動物，那就肯定非孔雀莫屬，事實上，牠正是亞市市徽的代表。

那麼，你對這種漂亮而不會飛翔的鳥類有什麼認識？你知道孔雀的故鄉是美麗的古國印度嗎？不認識不要緊，這個星期六在亞市植物園將舉辦孔雀日，有專家介紹孔雀生態、有孔雀主題的兒童故事坊和美勞活動、還有孔雀導賞漫步，以及主題美食等。無論你是否亞凱迪亞市居民，這個活動都適合喜愛動植物和自然生態的你！

On March 25, join as L A Arboretum celebrates an essential of the Arboretum experience – PEACOCKS, with a day of activities exploring their amazing habits and natural attributes.

  • 3:00pm, Ayres Hall
  • The mysteries of the peafowl’s beautiful plumage
  • Dr. Roslyn Dakin
  • Learn about peacock’s courting secrets and rituals from Dr. Dakin, who researched peacocks foe 3 years at the Arboretum.
