12:30pm- 5:00pm
Get in the spirit of the season and celebrate Halloween and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at Heal the Bay’s Aquarium.
New pop-up exhibit and family-friendly weekend activities
Ever wondered what is lurking underneath L.A. streets, in the dark and dirty storm drains? The Santa Monica Pier Aquarium invites you to our new pop-up exhibit open Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 28 only: The Haunted Storm Drain Maze. Tip toe (if you dare!) through the spiraling surge of sludge, the spirits of single-use plastic, and other scary sights you won’t be able to unsee.
Other activities include our glow-in-the-dark science laboratory, deep-sea animal artifacts and Dia de los Muertos crafts. Face painting and scary story times are scheduled throughout the weekend, too.
Schedule of events:
- Saturday, Oct. 26 @ 12:30pm-5pm: The Haunted Storm Drain Maze
- Saturday, Oct. 26 @ 2pm: Scary Story Time
- Sunday, Oct. 27 @ 12:30pm-5pm: The Haunted Storm Drain Maze
- Sunday, Oct. 27 @ 3pm: Santa Monica Pier Costume Parade & Trick-or-Treat
- Sunday, Oct. 27 @ 3:30pm: Sunday Shark Feeding Presentation
Come in costume or choose from a variety of gently used goblin garb* available at the Aquarium. All ghosts and goblins are invited to join a 3pm parade on Sunday (October 28). Stepping off in front of the Aquarium, the procession will make its way along the Pier to trick-or-treat from Pier businesses.
